SplitmediaLabs has announced the immediate availability of XSplit Gamecaster to coincide with XSplit Broadcaster 1.3 maintenance update. XSplit Gamecaster is a brand new product from SplitmediaLabs which lets players easily live stream and record their gameplay for uploading and sharing on video platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and UStream.
First announced back in January, XSplit Gamecaster has already generated a significant amount of buzz, gaining coverage in a number of reputable gaming websites and blogs.
"XSplit Gamecaster is a revolutionary application for users looking to create high quality video game recordings or excellent looking live streams, while also acting as a stepping stone for users looking to advance on to more technical or creative broadcasting with XSplit Broadcaster" -- says CEO of SplitmediaLabs, Henrik Levring.
XSplit Broadcaster 1.3 maintenance update includes mainly performance enhancements and maintenance fixes including such noteworthy features such as support for AMD's VCE H.264 hardware encoder. The update also ensures compatibility with XSplit Gamecaster.
Both XSplit applications use the same technology under the hood, but with different end-users in mind. Whereas XSplit Gamecaster is a social and gamer centric application, XSplit Broadcaster is geared towards more advanced and professional content creators with features such as advanced content control, media sources, scene transitions, and audio/video codec settings, etc.
XSplit Broadcaster is available in a free-to-use product version, while XSplit Gamecaster currently is only available to paid licensed users, with a free version to follow in the near future. SplitmediaLabs offers both XSplit products to all Personal and Premium license holders for as low as 14.95 USD for a 3 month Personal license.
